GreenJackets win in 18 innings

In the longest game of the season, the Augusta GreenJackets beat the Savannah Sand Gnats Sunday afternoon 1-0 in 18 innings.

The two teams stranded 31 runners on base before Evan Crawford singled with Ryan Lollis on first base with one out in the bottom of the 18th. Crawford's hit slipped under the glove of Savannah right fielder Cesar Puello, allowing Lollis to score the game-winning run on a play at the plate.

Crawford was the 70th GreenJackets batter to step to the plate in a game that lasted four hours and 40 minutes.
