Former Jaguar Wilson advances in Match Play

Ex-Augusta State star to face Sergio Garcia next

For the second consecutive day, former Augusta State star Oliver Wilson played 20 holes. And for the second day in a row, he won.

Wilson beat Luke Donald to advance to the quarterfinals of the Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.

Wilson, seeded 10th in the Hogan Bracket, was 1 up entering the 17th.. Donald, seeded sixth, made a 91/2-foot birdie to square their match heading into the 18th. Wilson hit his approach shot within tap in, but Donald drained a 50-foot birdie putt to extend their match.

"A bit harsh, I thought," Wilson said.

Two holes later, Wilson eagled the par-5 second hole to win the match, making a nearly-as-difficult putt from 38 feet, then won the match when Donald missed a 12-footer.

"If I'd have missed (the 38-footer) I think he would have holed that," Wilson said, "so it needed to get done, and it was nice to get it over with."
