Teeing off - Matt Hendrix

The good news is that Hendrix is a card-carrying PGA Tour member. The bad news is he has no idea where that will take him.

Being tied for the final spots out of Q-school has Hendrix on the bottom of the PGA Tour totem pole, leaving his scheduling up in the air. When he does get in a field, he needs to play well and make cuts to improve his standing.

"It's going to be slim pickings on the West Coast," Hendrix said, knowing that Pebble Beach and the new opposite event in Mexico are the only guarantees he'll have to play before the tour reshuffles when it swings to Florida in March. He might have to Monday qualify and apply for sponsor exemptions in other events to enhance his schedule.

Hendrix has steadily climbed the professional ladder since winning a NCAA team championship at Clemson.
