Summer Saturday Night

Open Team Bass Tournament

Entry fee is $25 per boat ($2 goes toward year-end Classic payback). Tournament hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Year-end Classic slated for Aug. 28 from 5 p.m. to midnight. Classic entry fee is $55, including $5 for the big fish pot. To qualify for the Classic, anglers must fish a minimum of two Saturday night tournaments, or pay the Classic entry fee and an additional $45. Five-fish limit for team or individual. Wednesday Night Shootout

Dale Hart is leading the Angler of the Year race with 770 points. Albert Barnett is second at 768, followed by Kenneth Souls and John Main with 763 each, Mark Sawyer with 757 and Milton Keene with 755. The two-day tournament coming up is likely to determine the champion.

Membership dues are $25 and the tournament fee is $70. Tournament hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler, with more than 116 districts offering more than 1,000 tournaments throughout the nation. Membership is open to anyone 16 years old and over, but is closed to professional fishermen and professional guides. Those under 18 must have their parents' consent. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per nonmember, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event's start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
