Bass Tournament

It will run Nov. 10 through Feb. 16. The tournament's Classic will be held on Feb. 23. All events will be held at Wildwood Park. Entry fee is $33 per team, $30 for individuals. Each team member must fish at least five tournaments to qualify for the Classic entry fee of $50. Non-qualifiers must pay a $500 entry fee. The big fish must be 6-1/2 pounds or larger. Randall Clark, five bass, 12.65 pounds. John Long, four bass, 7.99 pounds. Ken Townsend, five bass, 7.77 pounds. Big fish: Clark, 5.94 pounds. Thirteen fishermen caught 43 bass weighing 68.37 pounds and all but one were released alive.

Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event's start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
