I don’t have time to read every good style/DIY/design/trend/product blog out there, so I have to be pretty choosy about the ones I do read. My newest discovery is BRIT+CO, found at www.brit.co. It’s a fabulous blog with great style tips, health and fitness info, doable do-it-yourself projects and tech news. Whether you want to find out how to make your own studded moccasins or get an app that helps you locate where to buy that dress you saw in a movie, BRIT is a blog that never bores me.
Did you notice all of Samsung’s not-too-subtle product placement in the Oscars broadcast last weekend? Well, it (combined with some very expensive commercials during the broadcast) resulted in a significant bump in Samsung popularity and “true reach,” a term market experts use to describe the social media buzz about a certain brand or product. Before the Oscars, Samsung’s reach was at 28.8 million and after the show it rose to 30.6 million. That’s a 6.2 percent increase – pretty substantial from just one event. Of course, it still remains to be seen whether or not this true reach increase will translate to actual dollars and cents.
