At this point, just days before the start of school, I'm relieved and pleased that my kids will be going back to class with all their parts, save a couple of lost teeth. There were times, over the last two months, that I had doubts we'd survive the summer without a major (sibling-inflicted) injury.

My son, Tripp, is a Boy Scout with his eye on becoming an Eagle Scout in the next few years. He's been backpacking, canoed swamps and has fared mid-summer campouts in the heat. After most of his excursions he usually comes home exhausted!
