"All too often the United States starts by dictating ..."
-- President Barack Obama, to the Muslim world
So, instead of dictating to other countries, we're just going to ignore them and do what we want?
That's the message sent by the Obama administration last week, when it sent four Guantanamo Bay detainees to Bermuda -- without even telling Britain.
Apparently, the deal was struck with officials in Bermuda, without regard for Britain's role in its island colony's security and foreign affairs -- something that U.S. officials well know of, or should have known.
There's being dictated to, and then there's being left out of the conversation all together.
Is one better than the other?
