The Johnson family team consists of: Shirley Johnson Evans, a nurse manager; Jacinta Johnson Walton, a prekindergarten paraprofessional; India Heard, a nuclear engineering student at Augusta Technical College; Dr. Jaime Johnson Huff, a nursing professor; Jessica Johnson, an assistant manager at Great Clips; and Bianca B. Watkins, a State Farm insurance agent.
Tryouts also have been held in Los Angeles and Green Bay, Wis., and one more is scheduled for July 2 in New Orleans during the Essence Music Festival.
