Free Movie Screenings at Library

The Augusta-Richmond County Public Library has free movie screenings on Mondays.

Here’s the tip of the day:

The downtown public library shows free movies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evenings. The screenings are held at the library headquarters at 902 Greene Street.

Here is a schedule of the featured movies for June:

June 15 – Revolutionary Road (2008, Rated R, dir. by Sam Mendes, 119 minutes) A young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s struggle to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children. Based on a novel by Richard Yates.

June 22 - I’ve Loved You So Long (2008, Rated PG-13, dir. by Philippe Claudel, 117 minutes) A woman struggles to interact with her family and find her place in society after spending 15 years in prison.

June 29 – Gran Torino (2008, Rated R, dir. by Clint Eastwood, 116 minutes) Disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal  Kowalski’s prized possession – his 1972 Gran Torino.
