I moved to Augusta in 2008 to cover religion for the Chronicle. I didn't know a soul this far South at the time, but the area is quickly becoming home. Before then, I covered the cop beat and crime while working at a newspaper in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I got my start in Virginia writing features for a community weekly while in college.

Christmas with Shane & Shane, Phil Wickham

Shane & Shane and Phil Wickham join forces for a Christmas tour that stops in Aiken on Sunday, one of only 16 cities they'll hit in 18 days.

The three musicians take the stage at Cedar Creek Church's Banks Mill Campus, 3001 Banks Mill Road, Aiken, on Sunday, Dec. 11. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert is at 7.

They'll play some of eachother's tunes, as well as Christmas songs. Have a listen to the trio performing O Holy Night.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Buy tickets online at wafj.com.

I'll be speaking with Shane & Shane about the concert later this afternoon. Look for an article in Saturday's Augusta Chronicle.
