Few days go by without someone's asking me, "Hey, what's up with the Bee Hive building?" If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the gutted four-story building at 970 Broad St. with the plywood facade. I thought that would ring a bell. The developers of The Bee Hive bar/restaurant (not to be confused with the bar/restaurant The Bee's Knees just down the street) had their demolition permit approved last year but have yet to submit a construction permit. Michael Anglin, the building's owner and a Bee Hive investor, had this to say when reached by phone: "It will be back on track very shortly." He declined to elaborate. So now you know everything I do about the building.
