-Everyone in my poll won this past week, so there’s no change. However, with the playoffs starting for GHSA schools this week (at least all those not in Class A), expect some big differences once the season is done.

 

-Now that the regular season is over, it’s OK to really soak in what Thomson accomplished. The Bulldogs’ opponents went a combined 59-41 (59 percent), but the impressive part is the non-region slate -- Thomson’s six non-region foes went 38-22 (63 percent). Also, of the Bulldogs’ 10 opponents, NINE qualified for the state playoffs. Swainsboro was the only team to fail to do so, and the Tigers were a region foe. Finally, four of Thomson’s opponents are ranked.
