-There are no changes to my poll this week. North Augusta did lose to Dutch Fork, but I kept it at No. 5. I think, based on talent and what they’ve accomplished, the Yellow Jackets are the fifth-best team in the area.

-Congrats to Screven County. The Gamecocks went from 2-8 in 2011 to region champions this season. Their only loss came to Class AAA’s Appling County, a 7-1-1 team.

-Speaking of region champions, Lincoln County is also one. The Red Devils beat Wilcox County 21-19 to win their 37th region title.
