Augusta-based networking and security firm EDTS now has a third office.
This month, the company reported that it opened an office in downtown Columbia so that it serve a growing number of clients in that part of South Carolina. It had an office in Greenville, S.C., for years. The new office is three blocks away from the state Capitol.
“EDTS has served clients in Columbia since 1999, and our new office gives us the opportunity to expand our local support staff and to support a growing Midlands client base,” said chief executive Charles Johnson.
EDTS has been on the Inc. 5000 for three years now because of its growth. South Carolina has a list of fast-growing companies called Roraring Twenties and EDTS was seventh on that list last year.
The company is headquarted on Broad Street and has 50 employees. The new office will give it room to add 15 to 20 more network engineers over the next 18 months.
MORE OF THE TITAN: Cushman, one of E-Z-Go’s brands built in Augusta, is expanding its line of Titan vehicles, something they call their “burden carriers.”
With varied passenger and power options, the Titan family of vehicles will now include five carriers across three models, E-Z-Go announced this week.
Titan LD seats two passengers and its 36-volt DC motor powers a 1,750-pound payload capacity. The Titan HD can handle a 2,500-pound payload and 3,600-pound towing capacity. And the Titan XD can tow 5,000 pounds, powered by a 48-volt DC electric motor.
“Every facility, plant and warehouse around the world is unique — each with a different set of vehicle needs,” said Darryl Heffline, vice president of commercial business at Cushman.
