CNBC covers Costco opening for special

If you happened to be around the Costco store this morning, you would have noticed the CNBC crew. They were also downtown Tuesday evening before the Augusta Commission meeting.

If you watch CNBC, then you know that the network has a slew of hour-long specials on some well-known big businesses, such as Coke and Walmart.

The crew was in town for the opening of Costco because they are producing a show on the company and have included Augusta’s store as part of its coverage.

 

BASS PRO: Since the warehouse store’s opening puts to rest the limbo of that land along Riverwatch Parkway, we checked in with Bass Pro Shops, which had that location on its radar for a couple of year.
Larry L. Whiteley, Bass Pro Shops’ communications manager, says “nothing new to announce” about the company’s plans for an Augusta store.
The Facebook page Bring Bass Pro Shop to Augusta has 2,835 “Likes” so there is still interest among potential shoppers to see the store in the Augusta metro area, even if Costco now occupies its first planned location.
