The folks at the Boll Weevil Cafe have concocted a red, white and blue cake for the Fourth of July that's well worth checking out.

It's alternating layers of  berry cake and red velvet cake with a blue icing. Like all their desserts, its sugary perfection.

A slice is $5.99 and it's the perfect size for two to share. Check it out on Sunday when you're downtown for the fireworks and you can get a dessert for $4.59.
