I have two pairs of tickets to give away to Symphony Orchestra Augusta's A Tribute to the Beatles. I will give one away here and one on our Facebook page.
Post a comment under this blog to be eligible for one of the pairs and under the Facebook posting to be eligible for the other. You must create a profile to post comments under the blog. Look at the top right of this page to see the link.
This is part of the very popular Pops! At the Bell series. The Beatles tribute group Classical Mystery Tour will be joining SOA to perform many of your favorite Beatles hits the way they were recorded: with classical accompaniment.
The show is tonight at 7:30pm at Bell Auditorium. Since this is such short notice I will leave these tickets at will call.
Check back at 5pm today (Thursday March 7th) when I announce the winner. You can post this on your Facebook page and share our Facebook post to give your friends a chance too.
Send me an email if you have any questions. sean.moores@augustachronicle.com Good luck everybody.

Thanks for the opportunity! I'd love to take my husband. I like all of the Beatles' songs but the first one to pop into my mind was "HEY JUDE", I know this will be a great concert. Can't wait to hear!!!

@Young Fred. I don't blame you. I wish I could go. As a matter of fact, this pair of tickets was given to me to go, but I already had plans. Have fun at the show. I'll have tickets to Little River Band and Atlanta Rhythm Section to give away next week or the week after. Come back and try again.

Wow!
I just trashed the bedroom looking for my ticket stub. My wife is going to be ticked! (She'll get over it when she sees where we're going tonight)
I want you to know, I'll get no sleep tonight until I find that stub!
I was 16. I remember the 4 hour journey I took, working my way to the front of the crowd (had to bribe my way there), bikers are a very charitable bunch, if you're willing to show your appreciation. I learned the wisdom of pacing yourself on that day. I also remember the camera crews from the local TV station showing shots of Grant Field the morning after.
Those were the days....

My stub is torn, but I did tell the guy at the gate, I wanted to save it, so he just ripped the edge off.
It's been sitting in a ziplock bag, along with several other stubs I've saved over the years. Now, if I can just find it!!!
I did see the "Love" show at the Mirage last October. Words can't describe the experience! It's my goal to take each and every family member to see that show. Even if you're not a gambler, it's worth the price of plane and hotel to see that show.
Something about the Beatles, when you're getting into the music you "can take a trip and never leave the farm"!
