Hey everybody,
We're giving away three tickets for Saturday’s RiverHawks game at James Brown Arena. Post a comment under this blog to be eligible and check back at 5pm today (Thursday December 20th) when we announce the winner. Winners will be able to pick their tickets up at the front desk of The Chronicle building downtown at 725 Broad St before 5pm Friday.
We often have tickets to area events. These ticket giveaways have been very popular on Facebook, so we thought we would share the wealth with our website visitors. If it is as popular here, we will give away more in the future.
If you win, say hello to the people next to you. They probably won tickets from us as well.

I would love to win these tickets. We are diehard Riverhawk fans but chose to spend on Christmas and skip the games this weekend. We would love to go soooooooooooooo "Show Me the Tickets"!
My most memorable experience
My most memorable experience at an Augusta Hockey game came about 8 years ago.
I lived in Pensacola, Florida for several years. So I try to go to every game when they come to Augusta. Several years ago, my wife and I went to watch the Ice Pilots play the Augusta Lynx. We were sitting next to a Middle-aged man and his son who was probably about 5 or 6 years old at the time. This boy was a super fan, on the edge of his seat the whole time. He knew the name of every player and probably knew more about hockey than most Americans.
Well, I made the mistake of cheering for a great play made by one of the Ice Pilots that night. Immediately the boy turned his attention away from the game for the first time that night and with a stern-toothless voice told me "No! We are Cheewing fow the Winx!"
I was put in my place by the biggest fan in Augusta that night and it become one of the most memorable moments in my life. My wife sure won't let me forget about it!

To whomever wins these tickets, it is our Teddybear Toss night Saturday :) So please bring a stuffed animal to throw on the ice after the Hawks 1st goal.
Gotta add, we play our fierce rivals the Knoxville Ice Bears, those are always good games because there is more often than not at least one good fight!!!

The last full season Of the Lynx I was a season ticket holder but have not been to a River Hawks game yet. I have never won anything so here we go!!!!!

We would love tickets. We got to go to a couple of games last year and my son was on the edge of his seat the whole time. This is a kid that sleep through concerts. He would love it. And he loves his stuff animals so that would be an added bonus to get to buy an animal to toss and see all the others getting tossed.
