Stone Mountain Park's Snow Mountain

So Augusta didn’t get a white Christmas this year – just a cold and kind of wet one. But nearby Stone Mountain Park’s Snow Mountain snow park is an oasis of snow in the South.

The park includes 12 tubing lanes and 4,000 square feet of Snow Zone to make snowmen, igloos or snowballs (there’s even a snowball gallery so the kids will have a common target – other than each other), said Jeanine Jones, public relations manager for Stone Mountain.

The Little Angels area is a play area for children smaller than 48 inches tall. Note that your children must also be at least 42 inches tall for tubing, and children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult (with a ticket).

They’ll be open Fridays-Sundays and some holidays (including Jan. 18) until March 7. A calendar is at snowmountainpark.com.

The hours are currently 9 a.m. until 11 p.m., and a ticket buys you two hours of tubing and all day to play in the snow.

Individual tickets for Snow Mountain cost $25. Pick up a coupon at Kroger and get $2 off the ticket price.

Ms. Jones recommends buying tickets in advance – last week’s tickets had been sold out a week in advance. Find them at snowmountainpark.com

If this article is written

If this article is written on the 7th, then why is it even in there that it is open daily until the 4th or the Crhistmas exhibit being open until the 4th? why would we need combo tickets if it is over with? Was that supposed to be 14th or 24th? The 4th is long gone before the 7th. I don't get why this info is even in the article. Rerun article from before resused just not edited?
