Got Tomatoes? Get those pictures in

   Greetings hot, sweaty gardeners.

I hope someone out there is having more success than I am at growing tomatoes this year.

If you have tomatoes to show off, we would love to see them. We (The Augusta Chronicle via the Gnome) are asking folks to send in pictures of their tomatoes.

If you have any trouble posting them to the blog, email them to me at sandy.hodson@augustachronicle.com.

If you want to include a "how you did it" box of information, I think that would be very helpful for us tomato-challenged, hot, sweaty failed vegetable gardeners.

We grew our very first

We grew our very first successful tomatoes this year! Bought two bush-type plants and transplanted to big containers. Set them out on the south side of the house, in sunshine. Watered them probably every other day, but checked soil moisture before doing that. One plant produced. The other did pretty much nothing. To this point, we have harvested about 15 tomatoes. We are hoping that there will be more, but it does not look promising.
