The 30901 Development Corp., a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Tax Site, will provide free income tax preparation. The assistance is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, by appointment only, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.
The 30901 Development Corporation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that is certified by the Internal Revenue Service to prepare taxes, according to a release. Patrons must bring the following documents:
1. Picture I.D. for yourself and spouse.
2. Social Security Card or statement from Social Security Administration, no exceptions
3. Copy of last year’s tax return
4. All wage statements, including W-2, W-2G, 1099R, 1099Misc, 1099Int or any statement that shows income
5. Social Security Card or statement from Social security Administration for all dependents, no exceptions
6. If itemizing: Home Mortgage Interest Statement, Property Tax Statement, Health Insurance Premium Statement, Cash Donation Statement, Other than Cash Statement and any statement that can be used for deductions
7. A 1098T if you have a child in college
8. Any additional documents deemed necessary
