Doctors Hospital and four local hotels have partnered to help patients and their families when they need to travel to Augusta for treatment, according to a release.
The four hotels are offering a discounted rate for any patient receiving treatment at Doctors Hospital and their caregivers who are traveling with them. One-fourth of the nearly 750 cancer patients Doctors Hospital treats each year travel from outside the Augusta area. Treatment can last from a few days to several weeks.
Patients can receive the discounted hotel rate by calling participating hotels and asking for the Doctors Hospital discounted rate. Participating hotels include DoubleTree Hotel, 2651 Perimeter Parkway; Days Inn Augusta, 3654 Wheeler Road; Candlewood Suites, 1080 Claussen Road; and Partridge Inn, 2110 Walton Way.
