At the Family Y, new members will get half off the joiner’s fee through January. This equals savings of $75 to $100, depending on whether you get an individual or a family plan.

The Family Y doesn’t require contracts, according to an employee. The fitness center also has discounts for seniors (62 or older). For access to all Family Y branches, seniors can pay $32 for an individual and $48 for a couple.

The Augusta area has seven Family Y’s: Augusta on Wheeler, Tobacco and Milledgeville roads; Thomson; Evans; North Augusta; and Aiken.

Health Central Wellness & Fitness Center on Broad Street is waiving its enrollment fee through January when people sign a one-year contract. The enrollment fee is usually $69 or $99, depending on corporate or individual membership.

The Fitness Gallery & Spinning Center is offering its corporate price of $70 a month for unlimited spinning at both centers, Old Petersburg Road in Martinez and Broad Street in Augusta, if three people from a business attend. Individuals can get 12 visits for $70 a month. That offer doesn’t expire.
