Saving money and shopping smarter in Augusta

Calling All Emergency Workers

There’s no better discount than getting something free of charge. If you’re employed as emergency personnel (fire, rescue and police), a local restaurant recognizes your hard work.

Here’s the tip of the day:

Chick-fil-A at 3066 Washington Road is honoring all emergency personnel in the fire, rescue and police fields with free breakfast up to $5 daily. To get your free meal, workers only need to wear their uniform and dine at the restaurant.

Emergency personnel also receive 50 percent off lunch or dinner daily. They must wear their uniform and eat in Chick-fil-A’s dining room.

Please note: The savings only apply to emergency workers. They can’t get the discount for their entire family.

Other deals offered by Chick-fil-A at 3066 Washington Road:

• On Monday nights, customers who bring their church bulletin to the cashier will receive the following special offer: Buy one Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and get one free.

• Chick-fil-A holds Kid’s Night on Tuesdays. From 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday, customers may purchase one combo meal and receive one free kid’s meal. The child should be present.

• Senior citizens who visit Chick-fil-A receive a free kid-size drink.

Please contact your favorite Chick-fil-A for their policies regarding these offers. All stores are different and these offers do not apply at all area Chick-fil-A restaurants.

Boy I am sure glad they

Boy I am sure glad they didn't extend this program to soldiers. But then again they probably don't have jobs that are dangerous. In reality, if I were a soldier, I would boycott these places forever!!!!

I am glad to see something

I am glad to see something like this for local emergency workers. They very rarely get the thanks they deserve for protecting our local community. I wish the Chick-fil-a in North Augusta would do this for South Carolina emergency workers. Thanks to all who protect and serve our community!
