Action Dash, an inaugural Labor Day 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run, netted $15,000 for the local programs of Action Ministries, organizers said.

Families in super hero costumes took to the streets to raise money for the agency, which specializes in hunger, housing and education programs for those in need.
