The Rev. Gary Redding, former pastor of First Baptist Church of North Augusta, has published his first book, God's Commanding Words, on the Ten Commandments.
Redding says that though the Ten Commandments are frequently questioned for their relevance, they remain just as appropriate today as when they were issued on Mt. Sinai.
The book is based on a sermon series that Redding preached during his 22-year tenure as pastor of First Baptist.
The 117-page book was published by Parson's Porch Publishers, Cleveland, Tenn. The non-profit provides financial assistance, counseling and other services to people trying to improve their life situations.
