For those who hunt for Braves memorabilia, giveaway days might be your thing. The Braves have announced their giveaways and promotions for the 2013 season.
The biggest giveaways are always bobbleheads, and the Braves have two for this season. The first comes May 30 in the form of Freddie Freeman. It's a Thursday night game against the Blue Jays. Clear goggles would be a nice touch, but I wouldn't expect it.
The second is June 20 in the form of B.J. Upton. It's also a Thursday night game, facing the Mets. The one sleeve and high socks are a must to pull this one off.
The Braves will also have the usual promotions. Magnetic schedules will be given away April 5-6 against the Cubs. A replica cap will be given away July 27 against the Cardinals.
Jackie Robinson Day is April 16. Bark in the Park, when Turner Field will be filled with the yips and yaps of dogs, will be May 5. Military Appreciation Day is May 18. Braves Alumni Weekend is June 28-30, which is one of the highlights of the year as numerous Braves from the past return to Atlanta for special events.
Future Stars Night, featuring the minor league players of the year in the Braves system, is Sept. 28. They are available for autographs that day.
As always, following each Friday night game, the Braves have fireworks. Kids run the bases following each Sunday game.
Promotions are changed and added throughout the season, so check braves.com before heading to the park for these giveaways, or to see if any are added.
