University of Phoenix-Augusta hosting faculty recruiting fair

The Augusta campus of the University of Phoenix is looking for a few good faculty members.

The school, in its third year in Augusta, will host a recruiting fair for potential faculty members in the areas of Counseling and Guidance, Criminal Justice, Health Care Systems and Psychology, on December 10.

Faculty members do not fill a traditional university professor role. All are expected to maintain current jobs in their fields of expertise to maintain a real-world knowledge of their field. They possess an advanced degree (the degree required to hold a faculty position depends on the field of study, but a master’s degree is the minimum), and at least three years of work experience in their profession.

The event will take place on December 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Phoenix’s Augusta campus, located at 3150 Perimeter Parkway. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP to Dishena McLendon at 706-868-2002 or dishena.mclendon@phoenix.edu.
