In addition to job fairs and other hiring events taking place in Augusta soon, state Department of Labor officials have announced a number of job fairs to be held throughout the state in November.

Georgia Department of Labor's Covington Career Center and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will host a fair Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VFW Post 5290 in Conyers.

Another Nov. 10 fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 201, in Alpharetta. A fair is also planned Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 251, in Duluth.

The department's Cordele center and the Dooly County Chamber of Commerce also will co-sponsor a career fair on Nov. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Southwest Georgia Business Development Center, in Vienna.
