East Central Regional Hospital officials will host a hiring fair on November 10 in an effort to attract registered nurses, LPNs, occupational therapists and dieticians to 60 jobs as part of a new partnership with MCG.
In September, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) started a new partnership under which MCG has been running clinical services at the hospital. With leadership from the college in place and an infusion of expertise, the hospital is now looking to fill critical RN, LPN, occupational therapy, and dietician positions. Other positions are not being filled at this time.
The nursing hiring fair will be held Tuesday, November 10 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Gracewood Campus Gymnasium. The facility is located at 100 Myrtle Blvd, Building #22, Gracewood, GA 30812. Positions at both the Augusta and Gracewood campuses will be available.
“We are excited about the opportunity to employ qualified candidates to work directly with the people we serve,” said Rhian Sharp, DBHDD Human Resources Director. “What we offer each of our employees is the chance to be challenged, to be valued, and to change lives day one and every day. What’s exciting about Augusta is that our team there is also part of the Medical College of Georgia family.”
On-site interviews will be given during the fair. Because of the narrow focus of the event, job seekers interested in other opportunities with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities should visit http://www.DBHDDJobs.com.
The website lists employment opportunities at DBHDD’s Atlanta headquarters as well as the state hospitals and regional offices overseen by the department across the state. Job applications and information about state benefits are also available.
