Astronaut makes music video history

Commander Chris Hadfield went to space on a mission. A mission to sing his way into music history. And do science and stuff. Yeah. Science.

When they're not busy with unplanned spacewalks to repair ammonia leaks affecting the International Space Station's solar arrays, astronauts like to spend a little downtime on entertainment.

In this case, a revised version of David Bowie's Space Oddity, recorded by Commander Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station, made music history by being the first music video ever shot in space.

You know, for science.
