WOMEN: No. 10 Lady Pacers (21-3, 14-2) t1st Peach Belt Conference East; Lady Patriots (9-16, 4-13) 6th Peach Belt Conference East.
MEN: Pacers (18-6, 12-4) 1st Peach Belt Conference East; Patriots (16-11, 9-8) 5th Peach Belt Conference East

WOMEN: The Lady Pacers just received their best ranking of the season, coming it at No. 10 nationally in the latest NCAA Division II poll. The bump up comes in the aftermath of a 57-53 win over then-No. 18 Lander last week, giving the Lady Pacers their fifth consecutive win and setting up a chance at perfection. If the USC Aiken women win tonight, they'll complete a perfect 12-0 regular season on their home floor.

A win would also move the Lady Pacers one step closer to claiming a regular season conference championship. USC Aiken is currently tied for first with Lander, which will play Augusta State tonight. A Lady Pacer win (likely) and Lady Patrots loss (unlikely) would give the title to USC Aiken tonight. While that probably won't happen, the Lady Pacers can clinch the crown simply by winning tonight and Saturday at last-place Flagler.

MEN: It's been a tough February for the USC Aiken men, who fell out of the NCAA Division II top 25 this week after losing at Lander (70-62) and at Augusta State (58-53). The Pacers were the favorite in both games, and the losses hurt. But USC Aiken's stellar play earlier in the conference schedule means they're still in first place and simply need a win tonight and Saturday (at last-place Flagler) to claim a regular season conference title. The Pacers handed Francis Marion a 22-point loss on the road in January. Expect a similar outcome tonight.
