Don’t miss the first Music in the Park performance for this year, brought about by the North Augusta Arts Council.

The weekly concerts kick off Thursday, May 11, and continue each week through July 13.

For this first concert, the North Augusta Idol competition will host a spotlight show along with a dance party to kick off the summer season. Each show is held at 7 p.m. at Maude Edenfield Park, located at 495 Brookside Ave.

In the upcoming weeks, look forward to performances from the Cross-Tie Walkers, the John Kolbeck Trio, Backline Bluegrass and more. You can get information at naartscouncil.com.

WHAT’S TRENDY: Facebook’s addition of the “reactions” smiley faces and emojis has made it a lot easier to specify how exactly a link or photo strikes you online.

Well, good news: reactions have now made it to the comments section.

It’s a slow rollout, so you might not be able to see it on your account quite yet, but Facebook has added the reactions (love, sad, haha, wow, angry) to comments.

I find these reactions to be a little bit cluttered and difficult to decode as an observer, but it’s fun to get them on things that I post. I’ll be curious to see whether this expansion of the reactions may someday lead to a “dislike” button – something I feel would be way more useful with today’s Internet.

WHAT’S AFFORDABLE: Target’s collaboration with WhoWhatWear has been by far its most successful, long-lasting designer collaboration and it isn’t going anywhere.

The first of three summer releases for 2017 has launched, and the looks do not disappoint. There’s something for work, something for the beach, and something for a relaxing day at home – and of course, all at the Target price point.

My favorite pieces are a cotton twill shell with menswear striping and fun tassels along the hem ($24.99), a black-and-white gingham sundress with subtle cutouts ($34.99), and a jute woven circle bag that comes in neutral linen and black ($24.99).
