Georgia State welcomes its first football signing class

ATLANTA - Georgia State has signed 24 players in the program's first football signing class.


Coach Bill Curry, who is also interim athletic director, brought in 13 in-state players and 11 from outside of Georgia into a program that will begin play in 2010. A key signee was Drew Little, a 6-4, 238-pound quarterback from McDonough, Ga.

The team will begin play in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision's Colonial Athletic Association.

The Panthers also signed three other quarterbacks, five running backs, four defensive backs, two receivers, one linebacker, three offensive lineman, three defensive lineman and two players that can play multiple positions.
