Clemson heading to Chick-fil-A Bowl

COLUMBIA, S.C. - No. 15 Clemson is heading back to the Chick-fil-A Bowl, accepting an invite Sunday to the New Year's Eve game in Atlanta.

The Tigers (9-3) will face Auburn of the Southeastern Conference in a rematch from 11 seasons ago. Auburn took that one, 10-3.

Clemson's last appearance at the Georgia Dome came after the 2003 season when it defeated No. 6 Tennessee, 27-14.

The Tigers have won five of their final six games, closing the regular season with a 23-21 victory over instate rival South Carolina.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl chairman Chuck Fruit says Clemson brings a strong fan base with them in postseason play and expects the same for this year's game.
