A national magazine has picked an Evans community as a top retirement destination.
Riverwood Plantation will be featured in Where to Retire's "50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the United States." The July-August issue comes out June 21.
Magazine editors spent about a year gathering information on more than 150 communities, according to a news release.
The top developments, whose homes range from $80,000 to nearly $500,000, were chosen because of access to amenities in addition to recreational and social opportunities for retirees.
Riverwood Plantation was one of four Georgia communities selected. The developments are profiled in alphabetical order by state, not by rank.
