- Roger Leon has been appointed head of North American consumer products for Husqvarna. Mr. Leon was previously chief operating officer.


- Tammy Shepherd has joined the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce as director of programs. She was previously employed by Columbia County Magazine . The Evans resident's responsibilities include planning and implementation of all chamber programs and events.

- Dr. Jo Maypole has been named executive director of the Augusta chapter of the American Red Cross. She was previously employed by MCG Health Inc. The Augusta resident's responsibilities include overseeing the chapter's mission, including disaster response, health and safety services, service to armed forces and veterans and volunteer services.

- Cary H. Rivers has been named director of development and outreach for Augusta Christian Schools. He was previously the director of development and marketing at Westminster Schools of Augusta and is a co-owner of the Adventure Crossing family entertainment center.

- Rose Anne Moore has joined Gwen Fulcher Young & Associates Real Estate Co. as Realtor associate and marketing director.

- Tonya Bieda has been promoted to corporate education manager at University of Phoenix. She was previously corporate education liaison. Her new responsibilities include managing, mentoring, and motivating Atlanta's corporate education liaisons. The Evans resident has more than 10 years of education industry experience.

- Bronnie Spinks has been promoted to vice president and branch manager at ProLending. She was previously senior loan officer. Her new responsibilities include managing Augusta retail operations. The Evans resident has more than 27 years of mortgage industry experience.

- The McLeod & Dowling law firm announced it has added the following attorneys to its staff: Wendy M. Bowen, P. Wesley Fountain , and Jennifer Campbell . They will be based at the firm's new office in North Augusta.

- Carla Smith and Mary Hayes received service awards from Wachovia Bank for 27 years of service.

- Chad Burdette has been promoted to vice president in BB&T's wealth management division.

- Dr. Robert Franklin, of the Center for Primary Care's south Augusta office, has joined the Trinity Wound Healing Center at Trinity Hospital. His responsibilities include the outpatient treatment of chronic wounds and nonresponsive conditions.

- Ashley M. Hicks has been promoted to assistant producer at ETV Television in Rock Hill, S.C. Ms. Hicks was previously a program assistant for the ETV station in Beaufort, S.C.

- Michael Hicks has joined PepsiCo's Quaker Oats division as operations resource supervisor. His responsibilities include managing four unit supervisors in the group.

- Amerilife & Health Services announced the opening of its Augusta office.

- Charles B. Lanier Jr. has merged his financial planning firm with R. Thomas Fuller and G. Rabun Frost's certified public accounting firm. The new company is called Fuller, Frost, Lanier Wealth Management LLC.
