On the move

  • Thomas Kilpatrick has joined A. G. Edwards & Sons Inc. as a financial consultant. He has been certified as an accredited asset management specialist through the College of Financial Planning.

  • Mark B. Williamson has been named a partner in the law firm of Burnside Wall LLP. The Citadel graduate earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.

  • Sharon Vincent has been named the director of nursing professional practice at MCG Health Inc. In this newly created position, she will be responsible for coordinating the application for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program. Ms. Vincent was previously MCG Health's clinical nurse specialist in GI Surgery and Urology.

  • Jenny Nelms has joined SunTrust Mortgage as a loan officer. Mrs. Nelms, an employee since 1998, previously worked in SunTrust's private banking area.

  • Mark Chesnick has joined SunTrust Mortgage as a loan officer. Mr. Chesnick relocated from the South Florida area, where he has several years of mortgage lending experience.

  • Brian Davidson has joined SunTrust Mortgage as a loan officer. Mr. Davidson has relocated from Charleston, S.C., where he graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in corporate communication.

  • Kim Davison has joined SunTrust Mortgage as a loan officer. Mr. Davison has more than 20 years of banking industry experience and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington.

  • Kathleen A. Ferguson has joined SunTrust Bank as an assistant vice president and branch manager of the main office in Evans. Mrs. Ferguson was previously employed by SouthTrust Bank and Wachovia and has more than 15 years of banking industry experience. She will be responsible for developing, maintaining and servicing business and personal banking relationships.

  • Matthew Sorrells has joined Allstate Insurance as an agent at the company's Washington Road office in Thomson.

  • Arnold McGahee has been promoted to director of plant operations at Brandon Wilde. He is responsible for all maintenance, transportation and security duties. Mr. McGahee has been employed at the community since 1993 and was previously the plant operations manager.

  • Frank T. Gibbs Jr. has joined Jim Hudson Lexus of Augusta as a sales consultant. The Augusta resident has more than 25 years of auto sales experience and was previously employed by Bobby Jones Ford.

  • Jan Johnson, of J. Smith Lanier & Co., has been awarded the company's Gold Award for Commercial Insurance Production. Ms. Johnson also was listed in the top 25 producers corporate wide.

  • Beverly W. Mitchell has been elected president of the Augusta-area chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Ms. Mitchell is employed as the employee relations administrator at Wackenhut Services Inc.

  • Jennifer D. Stewart was the top producer at Wachovia Mortgage Corp. during October. Mary Ann Ethridge was the company's top producer in November.

  • UPS has donated $5,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank's Aiken facility for being a title sponsor of the Taste of the Harvest-Aiken event.

  • David Vukovich has been named Century 21 Hawk & Simpson Real Estate's Agent of the Year. James Curtis has been named the company's Rookie of the Year.

  • Evalyn M. Williams, owner of Brochures By Design.com, has been featured in the winter issue of Military Money magazine.

  • Billy Franke, Brendan Fisher and Scott Rountree, of Sherman and Hemstreet, was the top team in the company's quarterly commercial listing competition. Harvey Shepherd was the winner in the individual quarterly competition.

  • Phyllis Suggs was named RE/MAX Augusta's top residential agent for December. Bob Willis was named the company's top commercial agent.

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities donated $25,000 to the Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy to help support Phinizy Swamp Nature Park education initiatives.
