A couple other photos I liked from the month that never saw the light of day.
Best,

A photo that never saw the light of day.
A group of kids had a light saber battle near the Savannah River.
A left over photo I liked from the beginning of the month waiting for fireworks. Summer's almost over :( *sigh*
Best,
Corey

I recently vacationed to Vermont with my lady.
Craziest thing I saw was this daredevil.
Play safe kids.
Best,
Corey

Sometimes the daily routine can get people down.
However, I always try to do my best to keep a keen eye out for the subtle, quirky and non-assignment things in life. To me they are the most real and best photographic moments.
While covering a today's home assignment, I found this little guy engrossed in his video game.
Fun times.
Best,
Corey Perrine

Michael Holahan was named Photojournalist of the Year (Small Markets, 115,000 and under). Congratulations to a well-played year. Keep it up Mike...

Last year at the 2010 Masters Tournament I found a man in a wheelchair collecting the coveted plastic cups seen dangling off the handles of his chair. His wife would "dumpster dive" into the trash cans, like so many do at Augusta National Golf Course, and he waited patiently as she came up with a treasure of plastic gold. Out of breath, seeing I was engaged with her husband, she came running up to me and said, "He can't talk, he can't talk, Bob has ALS."
I wasn't searching for this story.

You know your job is pretty cool when all you have to do is fish.
That's exactly what I'd be saying if I was a fisherman. However, I probably should since I still have a bucket list to catch a fish, fillet it, and roll my own sushi on the spot. That will have to wait for another day.
Until then, enjoy Ray Scott in all his glory. It was a fun laid back assignment.

I had the privilege of witnessing my first assignment I walked away from still confused of what I just saw.
Thank the good people of the world for their incessant need to always update Wikipedia. It was there I found straightforward answers.
