For some baseball fans, just the mere mention of spring training will get people excited. But for a lot of baseball fans, this time of the year also signals the time for fantasy baseball. It gives friends and fantasy foes the chance to discuss anything baseball.
Sitting at work waiting for news to happen during the baseball off-season can be a little like watching paint dry or grass grow. Then when something outlandish does happen, everyone is quick to jump in with their take on which team got the better end of the deal or how will the signing of Player A affect Player B.
For me, today’s announcement of the National Baseball Hall of Fame was the start of baseball season. I know there’s more than a month left of football, but being a Falcons fan, you might understand my eagerness to move forward.
