Games of June 16-22:

Prospect highlight:

Braves AAA: Yunesky Maya - 13.1 IP, 12 H, 3 R/ER, 5 BB, 9 K

Maya isn't a prospect, but he's been a steady contributor as minor league pitching depth for the Braves. The 32-year-old right-hander has a 2.39 ERA in 67.2 innings for Gwinnett. Four of his past six starts have been shutouts.

Braves AA: Cedric Hunter - 6-16, 2B, 5 RBI, 3 BB, SB

Sunday, June 22 - Asheville 1, Augusta 0

Augusta was shut out for the third time in four games. The result was a four-game sweep at the hands of Asheville to start the second half of the season.

The GreenJackets have left 33 on base and are 3 for 29 in their past four games. An 0-4 start definitely isn't what they had in mind after finishing the first half on a good note.

Saturday, June 21 - Asheville 4, Augusta 0

If Friday night was brutal for the GreenJackets, Saturday night was unspeakable. They left 11 on base and went 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position. They hit into three inning-ending double plays, twice with the bases loaded, and they left a runner on third in four of nine innings.

Friday, June 20 - Asheville 4, Augusta 3

It was another brutal night for the GreenJackets. They failed to make routine plays in big spots, they ran into outs on the basepaths and continued to struggle driving in runs. They have left 16 on base over the past two games, including 10 in scoring position.
