BREWERS: Second baseman Rickie Weeks left the team with a sore left wrist after striking out to open Sunday's game and will fly to Phoenix today to visit a hand specialist.


CUBS: Right-hander Carlos Zambrano , on the disabled list with a strained hamstring, allowed four runs on five hits over 3w innings in a rehab start for Daytona. He is scheduled to start Friday at San Diego.

ROCKIES: Reliever Matt Daley is headed to the DL after an accident during a 10-run seventh inning by Pittsburgh on Sunday. Daley gave up an RBI double to Freddy Sanchez , and as the pitcher ran to back up home plate, umpire Bill Welke tossed the bat out of the way to clear space. It landed directly under Daley's left foot on his next stride.

Marlins: The team selected the contract of outfielder Alejandro De Aza from Triple-A New Orleans and optioned right-hander Carlos Martinez to New Orleans.

GIANTS: Juan Uribe was placed on the bereavement list so the infielder can be in his native Dominican Republic to visit his ailing grandfather.

PIRATES: Left-hander Tom Gorzelanny was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.
