DUE WEST, S.C. --- Nationally-ranked and unbeaten USC Aiken went on the defensive in its latest victory.
The 20th-ranked Pacers beat Erskine College 58-40 to run their record to 6-0. The 40 points is the fewest allowed in the school's NCAA history, bettering the 47 allowed in a 1997 game.
Jeremy Fears led the Pacers with 14 points and Job Casimir had 10.
AUGUSTA STATE WOMEN 83, MORRIS 67
SUMTER, S.C. --- Augusta State set a number of season firsts in a non-conference victory.
The Lady Jaguars, now 3-2, had season-highs in scoring, rebounds (50), assists (25), first-half points (40) and second-half points (43).
Sophomore Nicole Mealing, a former Strom Thurmond player, led the way with 16 points for the Lady Jaguars.
Senior forward Adah Wells had 14 rebounds for Augusta.
CLEMSON WOMEN 56, FURMAN 52
In Greenville, S.C., D'Lesha Lloyd rallied Clemson past Furman in a non-conference game.
Lloyd led the Lady Tigers in points with 16 and rebounds with eight.
